OUR COMMITMENT TO LEARNING AND CARING
At Trainevision, we believe that learning and caring lead to open, vibrant minds and productive lives. When we stop learning, and caring for one another we stop growing. When we stop growing, our positive contributions to society cease.
We also believe that every child should have the opportunity to contribute to society. That’s why our commitment to making the world a better a place for children is steadfast and woven into our cultural fabric. Three percent of all Trainevision website sales will be distributed evenly between the committed organizations below. We are grateful for their continued service to children and families throughout America and the world. And we are grateful to you for helping us help them.
READING IS FUNDAMENTAL
Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) is the largest children’s literacy nonprofit in the United States. Founded in 1966, Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) prepares and motivates children to read by delivering free books and literacy resources to those children and families who need them most. RIF’s highest priority is reaching underserved children from birth to age eight. Through community volunteers in every state and U.S. territory, RIF provides 4.5 million children with 16 million new, free books and literacy resources each year. All RIF programs combine three essential elements to foster children’s literacy: reading motivation, family and community involvement, and the excitement of choosing free books to keep.
FHI 360 is a nonprofit human development organization dedicated to improving lives in lasting ways by advancing integrated, locally driven solutions. Our staff includes experts in education, health, nutrition, economic development, civil society, environment, gender, youth, research and technology – creating a unique mix of capabilities to address today’s interrelated development challenges. FHI 360 serves more than 60 countries and all U.S. states and territories.
EDUCATION THROUGH MUSIC
Education Through Music was founded in 1991 to promote the integration of music into the curricula of disadvantaged schools in order to enhance students’ academic performance and general development.
ETM believes that every child deserves a well-rounded education: one that includes music. Unfortunately, many schools, especially those serving children in low-income communities, provide no music instruction or rely solely on short-term programs that do not serve every student. ETM created a comprehensive program that incorporates music into the education of every child, including those with special needs.
